Park City is a town in Summit County and Wasatch County of Utah. It is located in the off Interstate 80 in the Wasatch Range and is part of the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Park City is a major resort town most known for it ski resorts that are one of the best in the United States. The Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, and The Canyons Resort offer thousands of acres for skiing with different terrains and hundreds of runs.
The elevations at the ski resorts range from 6,500 feet up to 10,000 feet, with lifts delivering people to the slopes of the snowy hills. Additionally, snowboarding is available at The Park City and Deer Valley, who hosted skiing and snowboarding events during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

Park City is also home to the Utah Olympic Park, which also hosted 2002 Winter Olympic Games and still serves as training center all year round for Olympic and development level athletes. The Olympic Park also includes a 2002 Winter Olympics Museum, Ski Museum, summer aerial training splash pool, ziplines, and mountain coaster. The outdoor-recreation retail companies of backcountry.com and Rossignol have headquarters in Park City.

Park City is located about 35 miles east of Salt Lake International Airport, allowing visitors from all over the United States to arrive and enjoy the city right away. There are over a dozen airport shuttle services available to Park City as well as car rentals. However, there is not much need for personal cars once visitors arrive in Park City as there is the free Park City Transit System, complimentary hotel shuttles and taxis to get around town. Walking along the beautiful and busy streets of the town offers a great experience.

Park City offers a large variety of lodging options, ranging from economical bed and breakfast to luxurious hotels and private home rentals. All three ski resorts offer great on-site lodging, allowing visitors to be close to the skiing action. There are plenty of places to lodge in the downtown area, bringing visitors close to the action on main street.

Park City offers an array of upscale bars, clubs and restaurants that serve a variety of cuisines ranging from American to Italian and Asian food. Most Restaurants have a full bar, and alcohol can also be consumed at private clubs. The downtown area is also full of shops and businesses to keep visitors occupied for hours.

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Park City offers more recreational activities such as Golf at the upscale Park City Golf Club and Park Meadows Country Club. The Park City Racquet Club includes tennis courts and swimming pools. Park City's Skate Park features a street course, beginner bowl/half pipe as well as deep bowls. There are other neighborhood parks that offer other different recreational activities. Additionally, Park City is surrounded by nearby reservoirs, hot springs, forests, and hiking and biking trails.

Park City is not just a place for a dream vacation getaway, but is an excellent place to live in with great municipal services and prime real estate.

The town is served by the Park City School District, which includes Treasure Mountain International School, Ecker Hill Elementary School, Jeremy Ranch Elementary School, McPolin Elementary School, Parley’s Park Elementary School, Trailside Elementary School and Park City Learning Center. The Park City Library offers additional educational resources to the community.

Park City is home to Sundance Film Festival, United States' largest independent film festival, held every year in January. Park City is the setting for the horror film I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, released in 2006.

According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, Park City has a population of over 7,300 people. The town has a total area of 9.4 square miles with a population density of over 750 people per square mile. It is located at elevations of over 7,000 feet above sea level.

The racial demographics of Park City are 80.50% White, 0.42% African American, 0.30% Native American, 1.86% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 15.71% from other races, and 1.19% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race make up 19.64% of the population.

Park City has more than 2,700 households, many of them affluent. The median income for a household in the town is $65,800, and the median income for a family is $77,137.

Summit County is located in northeastern Utah and is surrounded by eight counties, including two counties from Wyoming. Summit County is part of the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Summit County has a population of about 30,000 residents living in 1,882 square miles of land of which 11 square miles is water. The county is mostly occupied by a mountainous terrain and includes 39 of the highest peaks in Utah. The Wasatch Range and Uinta Mountains dominate the landscape of Summit County and are popular attractions for outdoor activities.

Summit County is home to four cities, two towns, five census designated places and three unincorporated communities. The County seat is Coalville and the largest community is Park City, a major ski resort town.
